Miscellaneous retains Sefhako

For the first time since inception, Miscellaneous finished in the top eight bracket, paving way for their first participation in the Mascom Top 8 tournament.

The club held its annual general meeting (AGM) in Serowe last weekend where they ushered in a new committee. Sefhako and Bantsi managed to retain their positions as well as Bakadzi Seoganeleng and Ramaphane Lore, who managed to stay on as treasurer and marketing manager respectively.

“It was a fruitful meeting and the Serowe community was very happy with the achievements of this club this season. Remember that for the first time we have finished in the top eight. Other seasons we were always struggling and fighting relegation,” club spokesperson, Edwin Ntau said. He said they have taken a decision to go on a drive and look

for sponsorships in order to maintain their status and compete in the league. “Right now we do not have a single sponsor, but I can assure you that we will work very hard and look for sponsors. We have also agreed that we need to revive our branches all over Botswana. Branches like Orapa, Gaborone and Phikwe among others have been doing well. We need others to follow suit,” he said.

Ntau is one of the new members of the executive committee and was voted in as the public relations officer. Orapeleng Mosiamisi is the new secretary general while Jacob Monyeki is his vice. Other members of the committee are; Baratiwa Mathoothe (welfare manager), Ogopotse Godirwang (team manager), Bathusi Mosweu, Condrad Baipusi (additional members) and Ivy Rankwane (administration officer).
